Tropical Institute of Ecological Sciences (TIES) is an autonomous research and educational establishment based at Kottayam, in Kerala state, India, founded in 2004.

TIES is formed mainly to conduct extensive and authentic research programmes on environmental issues including wildlife conservation, pollution and waste management, public health issues, lifestyle problems, habitat destruction and agriculture. The principal objective of the TIES is to become a pressure group to authorities and policy makers especially on environmental issues through research activism.
