Tropical countries are bestowed with rich natural diversity at all levels. On account of several reasons this diverse environment is in peril.
Tropical Institute of Ecological Sciences (TIES) is established to assess and monitor the ecology of this part of the globe, to find out the causes and to estimate the real gravity of emerging ecological problems, analysing their socio-political implications, to explore finest solutions which are sustainable and eco-friendly and to inculcate such a scientific temper and culture among all sections of the society through ground breaking research and extension activities.

Our Mandate:

  
To conduct extensive research programmes on ecological issues and remain as a watchdog of this unique environment
To generate scientific data on ecological issues in order to help the society to find out the truth.
To suggest sustainable alternatives through scientific investigations.
To create proper awareness through all means of environmental education.
To mount pressure on policy makers and decision makers to take ecofreindly and sustainable moves through research activism.
